Criteria for determining disability: Unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest; unable to walk without the use of a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, etc.; restricted by lung disease; use of portable oxygen needed; restricted by a cardiac condition; restricted by arthritic, neurological, orthopedic condition.
Placard design: Removable placard displaying the International Symbol of Access issued by the Commissioner of Revenue.
Parking space provisions: Complies with ANSI Standards.
Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that uses removable windshield placard when not entitled to it - Class B misdemeanor; Any person that misuses or abuses the parking privileges using expired removable windshield placard - Class C misdemeanor; Any person that parks in the parking space designated to persons with disabilities when not entitled to it - fine of minimum $50 for the first offense, $200 and a minimum of 40 hours of the community service for the second offense, and $500 and a minimum of 40 hours of community service for the third and any subsequent offense.
