Arizona

  1. Criteria for determining disability: Unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest; unable to walk without the use of a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, etc.; restricted by lung disease, use of portable oxygen needed, restricted by a cardiac condition, restricted by arthritic, neurological, orthopedic condition.

  2. Placard design: Removable windshield placard displaying the International Symbol of Access issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

  3. Parking space provisions: Outlined with paint and posted with a permanent sign located at least 3 feet above the grade that bears the internationally accepted symbol of access and the caption "Reserved parking".

  4. Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that parks in the parking space designated for persons with disabilities when not entitled to it - a minimum of $50 plus the placard or the special plate may be recalled.
