Michigan

An obvious disability or a medical statement attesting to one of the following inabilities: a. manage, manipulate, or insert coins, or obtain tickets or tokens in parking meters or ticket machines in parking lots or parking structures, due to the lack of fine motor control of both hands; b. reach above his or her head to a height of 42 inches from the ground, due to a lack of finger, hand, or upper extremity strength or mobility; c. approach a parking meter due to his or her use of a wheelchair or other device; d. walk more than 20 feet due to an orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, or lung condition in which the degree of debilitation is so severe that it almost completely impedes the ability to walk; e. blindness accompanied by one of the above stated incapacities.

Mobility problems that substantially impair the person's ability to ambulate: a. unable to walk without the use of a wheelchair, b. unable to walk without the use of a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, etc., c. unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest, d. restricted by lung disease, e. restricted by arthritic, neurological, orthopedic condition, f. use of portable oxygen needed, g. restricted by a cardiac condition, h. has another debilitating condition that limits or impairs the person's ability to walk; visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with correcting lenses; visual acuity of more than 20/200 but with a limited field of vision in which the widest diameter of the visual field subtends an angle of 20 degrees or less.
