Criteria for determining the disability: Unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest; unable to walk without the use of a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, etc.; restricted by lung disease; use of portable oxygen needed; restricted by a cardiac condition; restricted by arthritic, neurological, orthopedic condition; the need to permanently use a wheelchair.
Placard design: Removable placard displaying the applicant's license number or state identification card number and the International Symbol of Access issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Parking space provisions: Complies with ADA Standards.
Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that is not handicapped who intentionally and falsely represents itself in order to get such a permit - a misdemeanor of the first degree and the permit may be confiscated; any person that unlawfully displays the permit belonging to another while occupying a disabled parking space - a misdemeanor of the second degree and the permit may be confiscated.
