Criteria for determining the disability: Unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest; unable to walk without the use of a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, etc.; restricted by lung disease; use of portable oxygen needed; restricted by a cardiac condition; restricted by arthritic, neurological, orthopedic condition.
Placard design: Removable windshield placard displaying the identification number, the date of expiration and the International Symbol of Access.
Parking space provisions: Each space will be marked with an official upright sign identifying such a space as reserved for the use of persons with disabilities by the use of words "Reserved parking", the International Symbol of Access, and the maximum fine for parking illegally in the space.
Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that misuses or abuses the parking privileges using the placard when not entitled to it - a traffic infraction under Chapter 291D and a fine not less than $150 nor more than $300, plus the placard will be revoked.
