  1. Criteria for determining the disability: Unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest; unable to walk without the use of a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, etc.; restricted by lung disease; use of portable oxygen needed; restricted by a cardiac condition; restricted by arthritic, neurological, orthopedic condition; has a disability resulting from an acute sensitivity to automobile emissions or from another disease or physical condition that limits or impairs the person's mobility and that is documented by the licensed physician, the chiropractor, or the nurse as being comparable in severity to the other conditions listed. 

  2. Placard design: A special license plate and a windshield card bearing the wheelchair as the symbol of a person with the disability.

  3. Parking space provisions: Each space will be marked by a sign showing the International Symbol of Access indicating that the permit is required and stating the penalty for a violation. Complies with Montana Human Rights Commission Standards. 

  4. Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that parks in the parking space designated for persons with disabilities when not entitled to it - a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $100.
