Criteria for determining the disability: A person who has a loss of the use of limbs as a consequence of the paralysis, amputation, or other permanent disability or who is permanently disabled as to unable to ambulate without the aid of an assisting device or whose mobility is otherwise limited as certified by a physician, podiatrist, or a chiropractor physician.
Placard design: A placard of such size and design as determined by the director of consultation with the Division of Vocation Services in the Department of Human Services.
Parking space provisions: Each space will be marked with a sign that conforms to the current standards prescribed by the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways and any other rules and regulations as adopted by the Department of Transportation.
Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that parks in the parking space designated for persons with disabilities when not entitled to it - a fine of $100 for the first offense, and a fine of at least $100 and up to 90 days of the community service or any combination thereof for the subsequent offenses.
