Criteria for determining the disability: A disability that impairs or limits the person's ability to walk.
Placard design: A special identification card bearing personal identifiers (such as name, social security number, telephone number, street address, post-office box number or 9-digit extended zip code) and an expiration date, or a special license plate.
Parking space provisions: Each parking space will be marked by an official traffic sign that includes the International Symbol for barrier-free environments and a statement to inform the public that the parking space is reserved for vehicles designated for disabled. Parking spaces must be at least 12 feet wide.
Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that is not handicapped who intentionally and falsely represents itself in order to get such a permit - a fine of not less than $200 nor more than $500; Any person that lends to another its special identification card - a fine of not more than $200;
