Wyoming

  1. Criteria for determining the disability: Unable to walk 200 feet without stopping to rest; Unable to walk without the use of or assistance from a brace, cane, crutch, another person, prosthetic device, wheelchair, or other assistive device; restricted by lung disease; use of portable oxygen needed; restricted by a cardiac condition; restricted by an arthritic, neurological, or orthopedic condition; a severe visual or audio impairment that limits the person's mobility.

  2. Placard design: A removable two-sided windshield placard bearing the International Symbol of Access, measuring at least three inches in height in white on a blue background, an identification number, an expiration date, and the seal or other identifying symbol of the issuing authority;

  3. Parking space provisions: Each space will be marked by a sign bearing the International Symbol of Accessibility, be no less than 12 inches by 18 inches in size and be placed above ground level so as to be visible at all times and not be obscured by a vehicle parked in that space.

  4. Enforcement/Penalties: Any person that is not handicapped who intentionally and falsely represents itself in order to get such a permit - a fine of not more than $100 for the first offense, and not more than $250 and the suspension of the handicapped parking permit for a period of not more than 6 months for any subsequent violation; Any person that parks in the parking space designated for persons with disabilities when not entitled to it - a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $50.
